My name is Ron and I live in wonderful central Ohio with my wife and two cats, a lot like most of you. I'm 50 years old and an avid model car and figure builder, like most of you. I've been modeling for years, I have left and came back to the hobby, like most of you. I like to enter contests, especially IPMS shows, maybe not like most of you. I build Funny Cars, Street Machines, Road Racers, a few Hot Rods and Dragsters. I'm also building all of the Ramchargers Dodges and Bill Elliott's cars, but I really enjoy building Show Rods. I build figures in all scales and sizes, from Garage Kits, to Model Soldiers of all eras, to Cartoon and "Finks" from Ed Roth. I have won several awards all over Ohio and the surrounding states. I am currently President of the Buckeye Scale Auto Club and I have been either president of vice-president for several years. I am also a key organizer of our model cars contest, the Buckeye Classic, and I have organized several shows for the local hobby shop. I started this blog to not only pass along tips I have picked up, but to generate some discussion about our hobby and to help create better modelers.
