Most times it's an idea for ...What inspires me? Most times it's an idea for a type of vehicle. Then I find what kit (hopefully something I own) fit the bill the best. And once that niche is filled I'll likely not do another of the same type. <br />Types I have completed.<br />Cannonball runner<br />Post-apocalyptic survival vehicle<br />Movie car<br />Deathracer<br />Rat rod<br />Shop truck<br />Barn find<br />Gasser<br />70's street machine<br /><br />Still in the planning or building process.<br />Surf rod<br />Carrera Panamericana racer<br />Land speed racer<br />Pikes Peak racer<br />Resto Mod<br />traditional hot rod<br />and many others.<br /><br />So once I have the idea, the next part is to find a vehicle that I like, that fits the bill. If the car isn't something that speaks to me, it doesn't matter if it's the perfect vehicle to fit my idea. I can't do it. Zero interest.<br /><br />I can't have one without the other. Without the idea, I can't/won't build the car. I can't just pick a color and build.
